A place to meet friends, attend a concert, check out a book, attend an art show, these are all things that can and will happen in the Newberg Cultural District.   The District brings together Newberg’s cultural resources and provides an outdoor venue to share and enjoy the cultural treasures of our community.

The Newberg Cultural District is a partnership of the City of Newberg, the Chehalem Park and Recreations District, the Chehalem Cultural Center and the Newberg Public Library.   It has been supported by the Newberg Downtown Coalition.

The Newberg Cultural District moved beyond a concept and is a reality with the signing of the Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between the City of Newberg and the Chehalem Park and Recreation District in 2013. The IGA formally establishes an executive board made up of representatives from the City, CPRD, the library, the cultural center and the neighborhood, to manage the outdoor activities of the Cultural District as well as work with parking impacts for events within the Library and Cultural Center.
